This year, approximately 200 students, representing more than 30 schools from all over the state, will participate in the state’s Science and Engineering Fair. It will be held at the Knight Campus of CCRI in Warwick on March 18 and 19. Saturday, a panel of 170 schoolteachers, college professors and science professionals will judge the projects and select 10 finalists in each of the junior and senior divisions. Sunday, the finalists are judged by a specially selected team of judges to determine two "Best in Fair Winners" for the junior and senior divisions, which are announced at the Awards Ceremony March 22 at CCRI in Warwick.

The fair is open to the public on Sunday, March 22 from noon to 3 p.m. The two "Best in Fair Seniors" then go on to represent Rhode Island at the International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles, California in May.
