Residents at Anchor Bay at Pocasset received a special visit Monday afternoon when Bishop Thomas J. Tobin stopped by to lead “A Christmas Prayer Service.” Dozens of attendees sat in circles around Tobin, who offered an opening prayer and a reading from the Gospel of Matthew.
He offered a brief reflection before guiding the service through intercessions and the Lord’s Prayer. Following the concluding prayer, Tobin encouraged those present to join in a hymn to finish off the event – “O Come All Ye Faithful.”
Once the service came to a close, Tobin took pictures with participants as Anchor Bay staff provided refreshments including pastries and coffee.
