Love is all around

Love was in the air on Valentine’s Day at Cherry Hill Manor, as employees and residents enjoyed a spread of candy, balloons and other treats. Marketing director Loraine DiLorenzo helmed a small shop that offered chocolate, goodie bags and other potential last-minute gifts.

Balloon-a-grams were also available, allowing those who signed up to send a balloon to a staff member or resident of their choice.

“We had a big day today so far,” DiLorenzo said. “We’ve been doing it for eight years, it gets bigger and bigger. We blow up probably 400 to 500 balloons … They do [love it]. It’s an amazing thing. They got crazy for it, just the decorative effects of it, being in the building with all the balloons hanging and everything like that. Everybody’s pretty happy with it.”

DJ Eddie the Fixer provided musical entertainment, and staff members got in on the fun as well. Activities workers Elspeth Badeau and Kevin Morgan posed with a couple of their goodie bags, and Morgan even took the chance to sport a new hairdo.
