Super spirits

Jennifer Pavao, a kindergarten teacher at Johnston’s Sarah Dyer Barnes Elementary School, was overjoyed with the results of a celebration she coordinated in conjunction with the 100th day of school last Thursday. Each child was allowed to dress up as a 100-year-old lady – or gentleman – or even make a shirt with 100 items on it. “The kids had a blast,” was the way PTO volunteer Dawn D’Alessandro described the fun-filled day, which event featured some students coming with canes and wearing wigs, mustaches and other unique garb. “The kids really loved show off their school spirit.” (Submitted photos)
