Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School announces final youth ensembles concerts of the year

The students in the Rhode Island Philharmonic Youth Orchestras perform their final concert of the season on Sunday, May 5 at 1 p.m. at The VETS, Providence. The Youth Wind Ensembles’ concert is on Sunday, May 19 at 3 p.m. at Rhode Island College, Sapinsley Hall.

The orchestras feature the top-level Symphony Orchestra conducted by Music Director Alexey Shabalin; Repertory Orchestra under the direction of Vincent Mattera; String Orchestra under the direction of Irina Naryshkova; and the Intermediate String Ensemble and String Ensemble under the direction of Erin Quinton Erban.

The Youth Symphonic Winds is conducted by Dr. David Neves, and the Wind Ensemble is under the direction of John Knasas.
