Price Rite Marketplace presents $70,272 to Rhode Island Community Food Bank

Team members from Price Rite Marketplace present a check for $70,272

to representatives from the Rhode Island Community Food Bank on May 16 from funds raised during the supermarket brand’s annual Check-Out Hunger campaign.

During the months of November and December 2017, Price Rite stores banded together to collect donations at checkout, raising over $220,000 for food banks across nine states in an effort to support the fight against hunger.

Price Rite Marketplace has raised over $1.6 million for the Check-Out Hunger initiative since 2002. Price Rite stores that contributed to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank donation include its Cranston, Johnston, Pawtucket, Providence, Warwick and Woonsocket and Willimantic, Conn. locations.
