Johnston Police officers involved with the department’s Walk with Cops program took their act indoors last Thursday for their Thanksgiving Harvest Fest at the Johnston Senior Center.
Officers served food and coffee to seniors who participate in the program, while organist John Scotti and singer Ralph “Ralphie” Whittren from Pocasset Bay Manor provided live entertainment. Sgt. Joe Salvadore serves as emcee for the day.
“Please, take it easy on me,” Salvadore said. “I’m the new kid on the block.”
Salvadore called in for backup from Lt. Christopher Correia, who assisted in running the day’s ceremony, including a raffle, where seniors had the chance to win prizes like art and DVDs.
