Pelosi caved in to noisy progressive bloc

Posted

To the Editor:

I did not vote for Donald Trump in 2016. I regard him as thin-skinned, self-absorbed, narcissistic and an egomaniac. I believed then, as I do now, that being the head of a family-owned business and TV reality star does not provide the necessary background to be the chief executive officer of the United States.

I am, however, turned off by the Democrats subjecting us to impeachment inquisition 2.0. Their goal seems to be throwing enough at Donald Trump that his re-election bid will be tainted and whatever progressive Democrat elected can continue Barack Obama’s pledge to fundamentally transform America.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi caved in to the noisy progressive bloc led by a bobble-headed freshman representative from New York. She formalized the “impeachment inquiry” being run by Jerry Nadler’s kangaroo court, Adam Schiff’s farce and Maxine Water’s travesty. Pelosi and her three stooges all hail from California, whose voters provided Hillary Clinton enough to claim the popular vote in 2016.

The current brouhaha over a telephone call between Trump and the new president of Ukraine is based on a second- and third-hand hearsay whistleblower complaint from someone in the CIA with which would not be admissible in an impeachment trial in the Senate presided over by the chef justice of the Supreme Court.

In 1999 President Bill Clinton signed and the Senate ratified a mutual aid treaty with Ukraine to share and cooperate in criminal investigations. Therefore, Donald Trump was acting legally when he asked the president of Ukraine for assistance in looking into whether then-Vice President Biden threatened to hold back a billion dollars in aid that had been approved by Congress. The quid pro quo was that the prosecutor looking into a matter involving Biden’s son Hunter be fired. In Biden’s own words, “Son of a b----, he was fired.”

The whole episode is further evidence that the fourth branch of government – the unelected bureaucracy, most of whom are Democrats – is indeed a “deep state” with an agenda to oust Trump or see that he does not get reelected.

The Democrats have no ideas to battle Trump with.

The economy is doing well. What was Obama said? “Two percent real GDP growth is the new normal for the U.S. economy.” Oops wrong again. Unemployment down. Wall going up. Who doesn't have a wall in their house? A President that doesn't put the World before the U.S..

All they do is sling mud.

I voted third party in '16, I'll be voting for Trump in '20.
