Painting through the years

Posted

Last week, Cherry Hill Manor residents joined in with Girl Scouts from Troop 386 for a special day of intergenerational painting. Twelve Girl Scouts worked under the direction of Troop Leader Amy Souza, who is also the director of social work at Cherry Hill Manor. Souza, along with activities director Loraine DiLorenzo, created the event in order to bring young and old people together to work on a common goal and to interact.

Approximately 15 seniors participated and everyone was able to paint one painting each. DiLorenzo provided instruction and the tools needed for the class. Snacks and punch were made available and new friendships were formed.
