Narragansett Bay Symphony Community Orchestra to perform in Providence

The Narragansett Bay Symphony Community Orchestra, Rhode Island’s premier community-based orchestra, will present a concert on Sunday, March 3, at 3 p.m. in the McVinney Auditorium, 43 Dave Gavitt Way, Providence.

Join the orchestra and guest conductor John Masko for an exciting afternoon of spectacular orchestral music.

The program’s centerpiece is one of Johannes Brahms’ most famous works, the stunning Symphony No. 3 in F Major, Op. 90. Also, Joseph Bentley will be the soloist for Serge Lancen’s Double Bass Concerto. There will be the world premiere performance of “The Oneiroi: The Thieves of Lost Dreams” by contemporary composer Jeremy Bell, conducted by orchestra member Edward Bell.

The cost of general admission is $15. Admission for seniors and students costs $5, and children 12 and under will be admitted free of charge. Tickets are available at the door or online at nabsco.org. Help to feed the hungry by bringing a non-perishable food item for the Rhode Island Food Bank.
