Edna A. Gardner, 88, of Prince Street, died December 19, 2002, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late John E. Gardner Sr.
Born in Leominster, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Israel and Matilda (Ducharme) Cote.
She leaves three sons, John E. Gardner Jr. and David F. Gardner, both of Warwick, and James E. Gardner of Long Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Jeanne Molina of Providence; a brother, Francis Cote, and two sisters, Rita Brouilette and Evelyn Consalvo, all of Leominster; 21 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Roland Gardner, and sister of the late Roland and Normand Cote, Irene Hurtubuise and Loretta Banville.
The funeral was held from Stapleton-Barry-Holdredge Funeral Home, 684 Park Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fourth Avenue, East Greenwich. Burial was in Quidnessett Cemetery, East Greenwich.
