Medicine cabinets get a makeover
The Bridge at Cherry Hill rolled out the red carpet Tuesday night for health care and service professionals, and other guests. Roughly one dozen female professionals gathered at The Bridge for an evening of pampering. Guests made their own lip scrub, enjoyed hand massages, underwent Reiki treatments and enjoyed food and wine for the networking event.
The evening culminated with tours of the facility and a presentation by Karen Lind of dõTERRA, a company that specializes in essential oils. Lind explained that the oils used all come directly from their countries of origin, and can be used to treat ailments and replace over-the-counter medicines. For example, lavender oil can be used for calming purposes and to help an individual sleep. Lemon oil is used as a cleanser and antiseptic and peppermint can give the user a boost of energy. Most of the oils can be applied directly to the skin, or ingested in water or capsules.
