After 45 years of serving other communities, father and son Michael and Marios Kirios, the owners of the M & M’s Diner and Pizzeria, are now calling Johnston home.
The Kirios’ recently celebrated the grand opening of their newest restaurant location at 1031 Plainfield Street and have been preparing and serving food with a passion for decades.
The family’s restaurant legacy has been serving homemade food to loyal customers for generations. M & M’s Diner and Pizzeria now marks the newest installation of this Kirios legacy.
The restaurant features a home-style, classic, all-American diner where portions are large and the menu is long and diverse. Customers will find Michael sitting at the diner’s lunch counter, mingling with the other customers while swapping stories of life.
Many of M & M’s patrons have been loyal followers of the Kirios since their earliest days in the restaurant business. Visitors will also meet Mario’s mother or one of his four brothers, Konstantinos.
According to Michael, the diner’s offerings are always made from scratch and to order, and everything on the menu is available all day. Whether it be fish and chips in the morning, or a huge stack of pancakes or a Belgium waffle at nine o’clock at night, it’s available for diners.
M & M’s menu offers breakfast favorites, from omelets to breakfast sandwiches to-go or to stay, to a huge list of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers and pizzas, including their specialty pizzas.
Every Kirios is standing behind the success of M & M’s and are hopeful that the town’s residents will eat locally and give their newest venture a try.
M & M’s Diner and Pizzeria is located at 1031 Plainfield Street and is open Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Take-out is also available by calling 270-7371.
