Lancellotta's Banquet restaurant caters to your every need

Posted

Chances are you have been to a wedding, testimonial, shower, show or special event at North Providence’s Lancellotta’s. They have two banquet halls, one holding 50-90 people and the other 100-180. We were among the 90 people who attended Charlie Hall and Doreen Collins “Aging Disgracefully” last week, enjoying the restaurant’s terrific buffet before the show.

Groups renting the facility can choose from 10 buffets or design their own, all prepared under the supervision of Chef Louie Lancellotta. We enjoyed a delicious and plentiful buffet that featured a tender roast loin of pork and chicken marsala, plus their signature pasta and meatballs, oven roasted potatoes, rice, assorted vegetables and garlic bread. (They provide large plates so you can try everything.)

That’s only half of it. Their table of Italian style salads is enough for a meal in itself. We sampled all four salads, including a tasty potato salad.

Our friendly and helpful waitress, Allison, has been with the restaurant for 13 years and was surprised that we had never been there. She wanted to tell us of their Sunday afternoon all-you-can-eat family style dinner, served from noon to 6 p.m.

Soup, salad, oven roasted potatoes, roasted chicken, pasta and the chef’s choice of roasted sirloin, baked ham or roasted loin of pork are on the menu at $16.95 for adults and $9.95 for children ages 9-18. Lancellotta’s also has an extensive take-out menu, which includes their special chicken soup at $10.50 a half-gallon and their pasta with sauce at $8.50 a pound.

Call 723-6900 for reservations or check out their colorful website at www.Lancellottas.com.
