The twin brothers Comella, Thomas and Nicholas, are doing more than just contributing to Bishop Hendricken High School’s unbeaten and Super Bowl bound football Hawks.
The Comella twins are among 27 Johnston residents who have been named to the 50-year-old high school’s First Quarter Honor Roll that was announced by Michele King, Director of Communications at the Warwick-based school.
Heading the list are seniors Daniel Kennedy and Dominic Volpe, who achieved High Honors and Anthony Caruso and Tyler Russo.
Juniors Nicholas DiGregorio and Joseph Frezza were named to the prestigious President’s List while their classmates Braydon Dolashian and Jordan Marot won High Honors. Michael Carlino, Shawn Catala, Luis de Ugarte and Eric O’Connor won Honors.
Sophomores Nicholas and Thomas Comella, Anthony Cucca and Mitchell Parrillo were all afforded places on the President’s List while Brad Hutchison was among those Grade 10 students to win High Honors. Jackson Hafey and Andrew Picccolo attained Honors.
Freshmen who were named to the First Quarter President’s List were Michael Foncellino, Arion Kennedy and Zachary Palermo while Honors went to Cameron Forte, Christopher Fore and Antonio Vincent.
Rounding out those Johnston students who achieved High Honors and Honors respectively were Eighth Graders Alex Marot and Thomas McCahey.
Founded in 1959, Bishop Hendricken High School was named after the first Bishop of the Diocese of Providence Thomas F. Hendricken. Since that time, the Warwick-based all-boys school has established itself as one of the finest Catholic, college preparatory schools for young men in New England.
“Our mission, to bring each and every member of our community into a close relationship with God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is in the forefront of everything we do,” says Hendricken President John A. Jackson, Class of 1971. “Ours is a school that is rich in tradition, but ever evolving.”
