Two people died and a third was seriously injured in a single-car crash on Route 146 North about 2:10 a.m. today.

According to a press release, Rhode Island State Police Captain Matthew Moynihan said the car was headed north on Route 146 when it went off the road and into the grassy median, striking a guard rail and rolling over several times.

All three occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

Karissa Harrison, 24, 27 Spring St., Johnston, and Henry Feliz, 30, of 1 Glasgow St., Providence, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third occupant was transported by North Smithfield Rescue to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries. His name has not been released.

Captain Moynihan said it is unclear who was driving at the time of the crash. Speed appears to be a factor. None of the occupants was wearing a seatbelt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by troopers from the Rhode Island State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit and Scituate Barracks.
