The Johnston boys’ outdoor track squad has experienced great success thus far this spring, compiling a dual-meet record of 6-2.

Johnston swept its way to a 3-0 day on Monday, April 10, defeating Mount St. Charles (107-14), Scituate (99-35) and Smithfield (90-46). The Panthers had a plethora of individual winners during that dual meet – Nate Vasquez (long jump), James Baccala (110 high hurdles and low hurdles), Abraham Tambah (100 and 200) and Kyle Nelson (shot put, discus throw, hammer throw and javelin throw).

The Panthers also took to the track Monday for another dual meet, and they were able to grab two more wins, defeating North Providence and North Smithfield, with their only defeat coming against Woonsocket.

Johnston’s next dual meet will take place on Monday at Cumberland’s Tucker Field at 3:30 p.m.
