J-DAPA Jingle Bazaar to support crafters and performing arts

Posted

The Second Annual J-DAPA Jingle Bazaar will be held at Johnston Senior High School on Saturday, December 9 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The event will be held at Johnston Senior High School and will feature more than 70 local vendors and crafter’s showcasing their unique items.

Along with the holiday shopping, there will be a variety of hot foods for lunch, a large Penny Social, raffles including a chance to win a large screen television, character appearances and photo opportunities with Santa Claus. Holiday music and entertainment will be onsite as well.

“The bazaar was a huge success last year, and will be even better this year,” says Becky Silva the organizer. “The J-DAPA Jingle Bazaar is a great opportunity to showcase many local crafters and sellers. You are supporting their small businesses by shopping local, all while raising funds to help J-DAPA’s mission. The festive atmosphere, variety of sellers, and fun activities will be a great time for the whole family!”

Proceeds from the J-DAPA Jingle Bazaar will help support the 501c3 organization Johnston Dance and Performing Arts (J-DAPA). J-DAPA keeps the performing arts affordable to families in the community and has a goal of renovating the Johnston High School auditorium to better serve their performances. J-DAPA will be doing a large scale spring musical production of “Beauty and the Beast”.
