Lions, tigers and bears roamed the halls of Sarah Dyer Barnes elementary school last Friday as kindergartners performed their play, Meet the Zoo Animals.
The students in Mrs. Jennifer Pavao, Miss Shannon Pero and Miss Kaolin Boardman dressed as pandas, tigers, lions, zebras, hippos and sea turtles as they performed songs like Do you know the Zoo Keeper and the Zoo Song to a packed hose filled with parents and families.
Through their performance, students recited facts about their chosen animals while dressed to look just like them. All 37 “animals” used the opportunity to learn more about wildlife, and incorporated the performance into their studies. Parents and guardians then returned to their child’s classroom to view their outstanding projects.
