History in the making

Representative Deborah A. Fellela (D) of District 43 was recently able to secure a $1,500 legislative grant for the Johnston Historical Society. Here, she is pictured along with Louis McGowan, the president of the Johnston Historical Society. She stated that she was very grateful to be able to help this organization, while McGowan explained that the organization will utilize the grant’s funds to fix and clean some of the town’s historical cemetery's, maintain their facilities-such as the historic Elijah Angell House and the adjacent Museum Barn located at 101 Putnam Pike - and hopefully be able to put up a new at their location. (Submitted photo)
