Edward Daniel Parrillo, 95 of Johnston, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2018 at Morgan Health Center surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Gaetano “Daniel” Parrillo and Frances (Quaranta) Parrillo. Edward proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II, and he graduated from Rhode Island School of Design. He was known as Papa Ed to most, and he loved his family and animals.

He was the brother of the late Marie Fratantuono and Lillian Awde. Edward was the husband of the late Theresa (Silva) Parrillo for fifty years. He leaves behind three daughters: Kathleen Durfee, Teresa Carrier, and Gina Gatta, all of Johnston. Besides his daughters, Edward leaves behind his grandchildren: Joseph Sarandrea and his wife Erin, Amanda (Carrier) Turner and her husband Justin, Christopher Durfee, Kevin Carrier Jr., Nicholas Gatta, Rebecca Carrier, and Melissa Durfee. He also leaves behind his great-grandson Jayden Sarandrea. Edward was also the beloved father in-law of Robert Durfee, Kevin Carrier and Scott Gatta.

His funeral will be private.
