Cub Scouts find secret sauce at pasta dinner fundraiser

Posted

Johnston’s Cub Scout Pack 20 hosted their first Pasta Dinner Fundraiser on April 28 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church Hall. In past years, the pack and its leaders have hosted a Ham ‘n Bean dinner to raise funds necessary to maintain the pack. This year they decided to switch things up a bit, and drew upon the town’s Italian roots by hosting a pasta dinner. The funds raised will be used to provide for the Cub Scouts yearly activities, supplies, awards, advancements and achievements. Leaders of Pack 20, Toni and Greg Pagliarini, said they were very proud of the success of the event and all who participated and supported this endeavor. Hosts for the event were Kim and Anthony Tortolani, Joe & Kara Maggiacomo, and Greg and Toni Pagliarini. The pack would like to thank the Johnston Fire Department Local 1950, AKM Inc., Central Nurseries, and Mirage Design for serving as premier sponsors, along with Coca Cola, Osteria Toscana, the Original Italian Bakery, Mastery Martial Arts, Mosquito Squad, Music Shop, and the Mollock family. In addition, the pack would also like to recognize the DaPonte family, Boscia family, Teehan family and Steven and Cheryl Pagliarini for their contributions towards a successful event.
