CCRI golf remains undefeated

The CCRI golf team traveled to Swansea Country Club in Swansea, Massachusetts, the home golf course of Bristol Community College for a match Tuesday afternoon. 

The Knights won the match with the low team score of 358, which was 17 strokes better than their host Bristol CC, which carded a 375. With the victory, the Knights improve to 7-0 on the season.     

Leading the way for CCRI were tri-captain Matt O’Brien (Portsmouth, Rhode Island) and Tyler Boisclair (West Warwick, Rhode Island), as both players carded 87s. They were helped by tri-captain Sam Caron (Cumberland, Rhode Island), who scored a 93, and tri-captain Meghan Rocheleau (Warwick, Rhode Island) had a 102 for a team total of 358.

Also competing for the Knights were Aaron Bento (Seekonk, Massachusetts), who had a 91, and Mike Devlin (Warren, Rhode Island) scored a 97, but their scores were not used for the team total. 

Bristol Community College scored a 375, while Massasoit, Holyoke, STCC and Mass Bay didn’t have enough players for a full team.

The next match for the Knights is Friday at Chicopee Country Club, the home course of Springfield Tech.
