CCAP harvest time health fair is Oct. 13

The public is invited to join CCAP health professionals for diabetes education, free health screenings, flu shots, healthy food demonstrations, music, dancing, pumpkin painting and fun activities Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CCAP parking lot, 1090 Cranston Street, Cranston.

The Harvest Time Diabetes Health Fair is free and open to the public. There will be a kids door prize, raffles and give-a-ways while supplies last. CCAP is a private non-profit community action agency that was formed as part of our nation's War on Poverty. CCAP is the largest community action program in Rhode Island providing Family Medicine & Dental Care; Behavior Health Services & Substance Abuse Counseling; Head Start & Child Care; Family Development Services; Social Services, WIC Nutrition Program, Food Bank, Home Heating & Energy Assistance. The agency has a staff of over 3 employees and an operating budget of over $26 million. Last year CCAP touched the lives of over 38,000 Rhode Islanders.
