Breakfast at Tiffany’s Classic, homestyle food for breakfast, every day

For as long as she can remember, Tiffany Rossi had dreamed of opening her own restaurant, a restaurant which she would name after the iconic film, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” It is almost as if she was born to own such a business. After being in the food service industry for nineteen years, she knew the time was finally right when her watchful sister Dianna spotted a vacancy on Killingly Street. This was the moment ~ and the place ~ that she had been waiting for! At long last, a star was born when Tiffany purchased the space and began her journey as a restaurant owner. Breakfast at Tiffany’s was a finally a dream come true.

In the 1961 classic film, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the glamorous actress Audrey Hepburn uttered the words: “Anyone who ever gave you confidence, you owe them a lot.” No quote could be more fitting than this one for Tiffany Rossi.

It was her close-knit family who gave her the confidence to take an outdated space and turn it into the modern, stylish and comfortable restaurant that it is today. It was her supportive family who put in hours of “sweat equity” to help her transform a blank slate into a place where diners of all walks of life could feel welcomed and appreciated. It was her devoted family, (including her father Carmine, her mother Kimberly, her fiancé Jonathan, her cousin Lauren, her sisters Dianna and Jennifer and her four children) who pulled out the hammers and the paintbrushes to help bring her vision to life. Tiffany truly “owes them a lot.”

Breakfast at Tiffany’s is everything Tiffany had hoped it would be. The setting, with chairs you just want to slip into, its accents of “Tiffany blue”, its silhouette of Audrey Hepburn and its wall-length countertop, is ideal for cozy gatherings of hungry diners. Tiffany had one goal in mind for her casual breakfast nook: she wanted “good, simple food at reasonable prices, served by an attentive and friendly staff.” This is exactly what she has achieved.

Her experienced crew in the kitchen, headed by cooks Annie, George and Jose, prepare everything-to-order. Everything is fresh and made with love. The bread is sourced from nearby Buono’s Bakery; the coffee comes from the local Richard Allen’s. This is good old-fashioned comfort food. As newcomers April and Samantha say: “This has got my grandmother’s name all over it!”

Diners will enjoy a large selection of egg dishes (try the popular Portuguese Eggs Benedict or their signature “Tiffany white-egg omelet”), fluffy pancakes and waffles, tender homefries, salty bacon and sausages, muffins and bagels, syrup-drenched French Toast and SO much more, including ever-changing weekly specials and twists on the classics.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s is located at 560 Killingly Street in Johnston. It is open Monday ~ Saturday, 6:00am to 1:00pm, and Sundays, 7:00am – 1:00pm. Check them out on Facebook at facebook.com/breakfastattiffanysllc or at www.breakfastattiffanysri.com. Call 401-861-2019.
