Bowling for Animals rolls a strike

Defenders of Animals, Inc., held its most successful bowling event to date on Sunday, February 25 at the Town Hall Lanes in Johnston. There were 75 individuals bowling and many additional supporters that did not bowl but came to support the organization.

It was a collaborative effort of Town Hall Lanes and Defenders of Animals. Gross sales were $2,145. All funds collected go toward direct services, involving animal medical treatment and spaying/neutering of dogs and cats.

Defenders of Animals is an all-volunteer organization and relies on volunteers to succeed in its mission of “To defend the inalienable rights of both companion animals and wildlife through education, legal and legislative activism.”
