Barnes students celebrate Greek gods and goddesses

Posted

Second graders at Barnes Elementary School recently held a “living” wax museum celebrating Greek Gods and Goddesses that took place on Friday, March 31. The event followed a month-long project that began with a research paper. Once the paper was handed in, the children were given time to practice the character’s speeches. The children of Mrs. Pontarelli and Mrs. Williams classes then each took turns giving presentations explaining who they represented and a little about themselves, while the other students posed as wax museum figures behind them. Students worked very hard on their presentation and their parents and teachers were extremely proud of their results.
