Barnes authors dress their imaginations

Wizards, ninjas, unicorns, and royalty graced the halls of Sarah Dyer Barnes Elementary on Tuesday as the students of Jennifer Ramage, James Kelly and Tyeace McRae classes dressed as characters from books they wrote on their own.

Performing if front of their parents and relatives, the students showcased and read their original works, topics of which ranged from every idea under the sun.

“This is their idea, their character, their story, they came up with the plot from beginning to end,” said Ramage.

Students presented McRae with a potted flower plant for her dedication to their efforts. Costumes and accessories were all chosen by the students as well. Their books featured drawings and pictures, and on the last page featured an autobiography of the student along with their picture. Their production was a tremendous success.
