Avvio Ristorante, located at Garden City Center, 90 Hillside Road in Cranston, is celebrating fall with a new menu inspired by the season.
Avvio’s new seasonal starters, available at lunch and dinner, include Funghi Bruschetta with Narragansett Creamery burrata, wood-roasted mushrooms, shallot, herb butter, and basil on toasted garlic focaccia; Jeffrey’s Baby Greens with orange, grapefruit, red onion, dried pomegranate seeds, and a Dijon vinaigrette; and an Ancient Grains salad with red quinoa, Tuscan kale, whipped beet-goat cheese, roasted fall vegetables, toasted pecans, and a sherry vinaigrette.
Entrees feature an Italian Beef Calzone with slow-braised beef, cherry peppers, caramelized onion, mozzarella, and horseradish-roasted garlic aioli; Mascarpone-Butternut Squash Ravioli with apple cider-whiskey butter, roasted fall vegetables, and Granny Smith apples; Salmon served with roasted fall vegetable quinoa and apple-fennel mostarda; Scallops paired with confit potatoes, brussels sprouts, butternut squash puree, and red wine-cranberry gastrique; and Grilled Shrimp Risotto with sugar pumpkin puree, sautéed squash, cranberries, and arugula.
