The Rhode Island Library Association (RILA) invites you to participate in the 4th Annual Rhode Island Library Day on Saturday, April 14, which ties into ALA’s National Library Week of April 8 through the 14. Libraries across the state are participating to raise awareness of the value of libraries in their communities.
That day, patrons will be able to eliminate all library fines for overdue items and join in the many events that each library holds. Libraries are vital to growing communities. Every day libraries across the state help Rhode Islanders find information in the areas of employment, health, education, community-related topics, as well as recreational information. Libraries also provide the technology tools members of the community rely on to be successful citizens.
