The Johnston Parks and Recreation Department hosted a breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 21, at Taso’s Restaurant on Atwood Avenue. All proceeds were donated to the town’s Recreation and Travel Youth girls’ basketball teams. The teams serve nearly 50 young girls, and fundraising offsets the cost of tournaments and team extras like sweatshirts.
