Because the Johnston Lions Club doesn’t have a permanent headquarters, officials were looking for a perfect place to hold their annual and prestigious scholarship presentations. In keeping with the club’s tradition, president Joseph Swift (second left) and committee chairman Joseph Sabetta (right) were welcomed at The Bridge at Cherry Hill for the recent ceremony by Debra Demar, the award-winning facility’s marketing director. Also taking part in the presentation of seven scholarships, which all went to Johnston residents, was member Robert Civetti, who chaired the club’s recent golf tournament that helped boost the scholarship fund.
