Johnston Little League held its annual opening day festivities on Saturday morning at Memorial Park. After a parade, the teams gathered at Kennedy Field for the ceremony, which featured comments from local dignitaries and a first pitch by Mayor Joseph Polisena. With spring in the air, teams have already taken the field this week to get their season underway.
