What do you get when you combine hearty pub-style cuisine with a casual, comfortable ambiance and excellent, attentive service? You get Santino’s Bar & Grill in Johnston, of course! Santino’s Bar & Grill is the perfect place to spend a Friday night – in fact, it is the perfect place to spend ANY day or evening of the week! Santino’s, which opened in May of this year, is a family-owned business run by Michael and Maria Coccoli along with son Mike Carnevale and his wife Shannon. This close-knit family, including daughter Gina, have worked tirelessly to create a restaurant that would serve up high quality food and great service, as well as be a place where friends and family can gather. Named after their well-loved grandfather, who recently passed away at age 91, this welcoming bar & grill has become Johnston’s newest hot spot – and after one bite of their delicious food, it is not hard to figure out why.

Santino’s Bar & Grill offers the kind of food that you would expect to come from your Italian grandmother’s kitchen. Using the freshest of ingredients and superior products such as custom ground All-American Black Angus beef chuck, Santino’s head cook, Chef Walter prepares wholesome, home-style food to please every palate.

To get started, indulge your hunger in a platter of Chili Supreme Nachos (made with homemade chili), crispy fried calamari or some tasty crab cakes. When you are ready for more, sink your teeth into their juicy “Santino’s Signature Burger”, a succulent ½ pound burger smothered in gorgonzola cheese and topped with crispy bacon. This is only one of many other burger options – each more delicious than the next.

There are also several grilled pizza options, including the “Philly Pizza” and the “Buffalo Pizza”, all made on a crust of homemade dough and covered with fresh veggies, cheeses and choices of meat. There are garden fresh salads to chose from - try “Sandy’s Salad”, named after Mike’s recently passed, cherished mother-in-law. Still hungry? Try one of their traditional sandwiches and wraps.

For BBQ Rib lovers, Mike is introducing RIBS to the menu. Dry rubbed, slow-cooked and dripping with sweet barbeque sauce, these ribs rival any you could make at home. Join your fellow rib fans at Santino’s Bar & Grill for finger-licking good food. The menu at Santino’s is constantly expanding and changing, so don’t miss out.

Finally, there is always something going on at Santino’s - live entertainment on Friday nights, karaoke on Saturday nights with Steve Cass – even Trivia Nights. Consider booking your holiday party of up to 80 people here as well.

Santino’s Bar & Grill is located at 1200 Hartford Ave. and is open seven days a week from 11:00am to 1:00am. For more information, call them at 272-0882, “like” them on facebook or visit their website at www.santinosbarandgrill.com.
