Town Council Vice President Stephanie Manzi, PhD, has been honored with a Friend of the Department Award from the Rhode Island Department of Corrections. This annual award recognizes individuals from outside the DOC ranks who have made a significant contribution to the agency’s mission. Manzi, as the dean of the School of Justice Studies at Roger Williams University, has assisted the Probation and Parole staff by providing space and resources at no charge as well as facilitators from the university to conduct sessions on various topics. Manzi is pictured here with DOC Director A.T. Wall II and Robert McKenna, assistant dean and director of justice studies at Roger Williams, who also received the award.
