Johnston student graduates from Oxford

Lisa Mangiarelli, 24, graduated on July 21 from the University of Oxford in Oxford, United Kingdom. She matriculated in October 2012 as a member of St. Cross College and the sociology department. After working at an education consulting firm based in Hong Kong for the summer of 2013, she conducted research in London for her dissertation about the normalization of protesting in contemporary industrial democracies. In June 2014, she completed her program and earned a master of philosophy degree in sociology. She is considering working for an education consulting firm, a non-profit organization that focuses on youth development, or university student welfare and residential programs. Lisa is the daughter of David A. and Jo-Ann Mangiarelli and currently resides in Johnston. (Submitted photo)
