Johnston Taco Bell and KFC helping to ‘Strike Out Cancer’ with Jimmy Fund

Posted

From July 23 through Aug. 12, customers at participating Taco Bell and KFC restaurants and The Paper Store’s locations will be invited to contribute $1, $3, or $5 to the Jimmy Fund’s “Strike Out Cancer” pin-up campaign.

In return for their contributions, customers receive a baseball pin-up on which they can write their name. The pin-ups will be displayed in restaurants and stores, showing customers how easy it is to make a difference in the fight against cancer.  Participating restaurants and stores are located throughout New England.

Local restaurants participating in “Strike Out Cancer” include the Taco Bell at 1379 Atwood Ave. and the KFC at 1477 Atwood Ave.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the Jimmy Fund again this summer to support patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber,” said Roger Lockwood, chairman of Lockwood/McKinnon Company, a Taco Bell franchisee and trustee, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. “Our customers continue to show great generosity and excitement contributing to this important cause and we’re proud to support an organization that impacts so many people.”
