J-DAPA gets in the Christmas spirit
AN EXTRA MERRY CHRISTMAS: The Johnston Dance and Performing Arts troupe (J-DAPA) will perform their holiday show, “An Extraterrestrial Christmas” this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, at 6:30 p.m., with an additional matinee performance at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The show will take place in the Johnston High School auditorium, and tickets are $7, or $5 for seniors, students and children. Pictured here, Isabella Waldron, Danielle Warren and Jacqueline Lebeuf wait for their turn onstage at rehearsals for “An Extraterrestrial Christmas.”

In “An Extraterrestrial Christmas,” a family tries to teach the true meaning of Christmas to three aliens who have been left behind after their spaceship returned home without them. The family seems to have lost sight of what Christmas is truly all about, when the aliens make the family realize the true meaning of the season.

The show will be performed tomorrow, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m. with a 1:30 p.m. Saturday matinee. The performance will take place in the Johnston High School auditorium and tickets are $5 for the matinee, $7 regular admission and $5 for seniors, children and students. Photos with Santa can also be purchased for $10. VIP tickets are available, which include a turkey dinner and preferred seating. Those tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m.

For tickets, call 944-4866 or visit the JHS Auditorium today from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
