The Johnston Recreation Department’s traveling girls’ basketball team, which is made up of seventh- and eighth-graders and coached by Debbie Howe, has captured four of five Rhode Island Youth Basketball Association Tournaments they’ve entered. The team includes Megan Philbrick, Maddy Dannenfelser, Breana Silko, Kaylin Zalewski, Abby Chaser, Hayley Raposa, Rachael Zarrella, Samantha Gobeille, Isabella Palumbo and Caroline Howe. The assistant coaches are Jonathan Dannenfelser and David Raposa.
