“God Bless You”

To the Editor:

As a retired public school teacher for 32 years, many times a polite student would say, “God Bless You” to another student or me, when we sneezed.

Imagine, I read recently where a middle school student was asked to “leave” the classroom for saying, “God Bless You” to another student for sneezing. The teacher’s reasoning for the expulsion was “we don’t allow God to be mentioned in my classroom!”

Has this country of ours gone insane? I think so. “Political correctness” is destroying our nation. I pray to God we come to our senses before “We the People” self-destruct.

Without God in the equation, this great nation of ours is doomed!
