Ferranti wins St. Rocco Spelling Bee
Dawn and Frank Ferranti pose proudly with their daughters Anissa, Juliana and Daniella. Both Juliana and Daniella competed in this year’s Spelling Bee as grade level representatives. In sixth grade, Daniella took first place, came in second place in seventh grade and won this year.

The St. Rocco School spelling bee was held last Monday, Dec. 17, in Cafe Rocco. Twelve representatives from each grade level competed in front of the school community. Each participant received a certificate, medal and pencil and the two winners received trophies.

A winner and runner up will go on to compete in the Diocesan competition at St. Mary’s School in January, and the winner from there will go on to the state spelling bee in March. This year’s winner was Daniella Ferranti.
