Family affair brings together six generations
The youngest members of the Piccoli family will carry on the family traditions, established by their Italian ancestors. There were six generations represented at the recent reunion.

The Piccoli family, which includes several Johnston residents, had their fourth family reunion on April 28 at the Kelley Gazzero Post on Plainfield Pike. The family started with eight children – seven boys and one girl – who traveled to America from Italy, starting in the 1870s. Four of the brothers settled in New York, and the other children came to Providence. At the reunion, six generations were represented, ranging from a 19-month-old baby to 100-year-old Fanny Langello, a member of the second generation who turned 100 this year.
