On Thursday, Aug. 7, Confreda Farms held its seventh annual Ladies Night Out, with proceeds to benefit the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.

“We are so grateful to Confreda Farms for choosing us as their benefactor for their annual event,” said Maria Gemma, executive director of Gloria Gemma.

The $10 donation at the door covered a night of relaxing, pampering treatments, delicious samples from the farmers market and local wineries, a farm tour, and much more.

There were approximately 75 women in attendance.

Door prizes were given out at the end of the evening, and the ladies enjoyed pizza, homemade fudge, jellies, biscotti and much more.

Vendors at the event included Boar’s Head, Silpada, Verde Vineyards, Bacaro Restaurant, Top This Pizza Crust, Wild Tree, The Honey Shop and Lynne’s Dolce e Pane (Biscotti).

“What a beautiful site for such an occasion, and honoring so many survivors,” said Brian Knight, education coordinator at Confreda Farms.

“So educational, and a real eye-opener.”

Throughout the event there were tours of the farm in a tractor-drawn wagon.
