At the car wash

There was more traffic than usual Saturday at the 7-Eleven convenience store at 1601 Hartford Ave. in Johnston.

There were also about two-dozen teenagers gathered as part of a special fundraising event.

“This is the Johnston High School class of 2018 car wash,” said Natasha Zito, advisor to the soon-to-be junior class. “The students will wash your vehicle and appreciate any donation.”

While displaying “Panther Pride,” the members of the class of 2018 washed many different size vehicles that pulled into the 7-Eleven Saturday. The proceeds will be used for various class activities during the 2016-17 academic year.

Those students who participated were Giabriella Costantini, Fallon Davis, Even Califon, Alexa-Rae DiRaimo, Aley Blakney, Daijah Bennett, Dylan Lavoie, Zach Spinella, Natalie Vincelette, and Adam Gobeille.
